SINOPSIS
Nueva York, años sesenta. Una medianoche, el artista argentino Leandro Katz concurre a las funciones que la compañía teatral queer underground Teatro del Ridículo realizaba en un cine porno de la mítica calle 42. La obra, Turds in Hell, [Soretes en el infierno] le despertó tal fascinación que al terminar se acercó a los camarines. Se incorporó al excéntrico colectivo como fotógrafo, cineasta y hasta escenógrafo. Algunos de sus miembros principales habían trabajado con figuras de la contracultura como Jack Smith o Andy Warhol. En 1974, después de haber producido cientos de fotografías y hasta un film silente, Katz decidió abandonar la compañía. En 2002 y antes de su regreso definitivo a la Argentina, intentó contactar a los miembros que aún vivían para realizar un proyecto documental. Grabó varias horas de entrevistas en video pero el proyecto, sin embargo, quedó sin terminar. Desde el presente en Buenos Aires, una última mirada a su heterogéneo archivo visual y audiovisual, recobrará el amor por ese pasado irreverente.
New York, sixties. One midnight, the Argentine artist Leandro Katz attends the performances that the queer underground theater company Teatro del Rídículo was performing in a porn theater on the legendary 42nd street. The play, Turds in Hell, [Soretes in hell] aroused such fascination that when he finished he approached the dressing rooms. He joined the eccentric collective as a photographer, filmmaker and even set designer. Some of its core members had worked with counterculture figures like Jack Smith or Andy Warhol. In 1974, after having produced hundreds of photographs and even a silent film, Katz decided to leave the company. In 2002 and before his definitive return to Argentina, he tried to contact the members who were still living to carry out a documentary project. He recorded several hours of video interviews but the project, however, remained unfinished. From the present in Buenos Aires, one last look at his heterogeneous visual and audiovisual archive will recover his love for that irreverent past.

Fermín Eloy Acosta (1990) es escritor, guionista y realizador audiovisual. En 2019 publicó la novela Bajo lluvia, relámpago o trueno (ed. Entropía) ganadora del Concurso de Novela – Bienal de Arte Joven (CC Recoleta).En cine guionó y co-dirigió junto a Sol Bolloqui y Lucía Salas la película Implantación (2016) que estrenó en el 18º BAFICI.
